Youth Climate Summit Skopje

Tosheva was part of the #YouthClimateSummit, organized by UNICEF MK, with session about the impact of the fashion industry on climate change. She met inspiring and enthusiastic young people, eager for change and more sustainable present.

The Youth Declaration on Climate Change, adopted at the end of the Summit, calls for inter-generational solidarity and exemplary leadership of all institutions and addresses five specific requirements: creating a space where young people can lead solutions, decision makers to reconsider economic models and find ways to stimulate industries to operate sustainably, to promote repair, reuse and durable products with a longer life, to decentralize energy production with a focus on energy cooperatives especially for solar energy, and to introduce climate change education through experiential learning.

It is time to take action and work together to reduce our carbon footprint and preserve the planet’s ecosystem!
