Konekt is a leading organization specialized in philanthropy, corporate social responsibility (CSR), and social entrepreneurship in Republic of Macedonia with expertise recognized in the wider region of South East Europe. Their mission is to encourage and promote private giving and social responsibility targeted at effective and long-term development.
Within their EU funded project “Civil Society Powered by Business and Citizens”, Tosheva accepted the invitation to be part of the “Get Connected” brokerage service platform which connects the knowledge and resources of the entrepreneurs and companies with the needs of the civil society organizations for successful, strategic and long-term cooperation and efficient solutions to the societal challenges. As a result, Irina Tosheva provided support to the Regional centre for people with intellectual disability “Poraka Nasa” Kumanovo. She has developed a design and prototype of product which can be produced by the people with intellectual disability that are beneficiaries of the centre – social enterprise.
In the process, Tosheva had mentoring meetings during which she assessed the possibilities of the persons in order to create suitable design that will be independently produced by them, provided advice and mentoring for the social enterprise, presented the design of the product (design bag) and provided practical advice and workshop for its production. She identified several forms of future cooperation and signed Memorandum of Cooperation with the organization.
