Mesier 45

In the magical ambience of the Skopje Planetarium, Irina Tosheva and the designer Nina Simovska [Just because.] presented their joint multimedia fashion project “Mesier 45”. In an unusual and exclusive presentation, only 160 guests were able to enjoy this experience. The project contained a capsule collection, video and photo session. Models dressed in creations from the line were sitting among the guests, and the video, recorded by Ana Jakimska with music by Nenad Stefanovski (Foolish Green), was projected into the Planetarium.

The “journey” started with walk through the starry sky over Macedonia with the renowned (astro)physicist Gjore Cenev. He talked about Messier 45 or the constellation Pleiades which was the main inspiration of this project. Namely, Messier 45 is an open star cluster composed of seven stars-sisters who according to the Greek mythology are the daughters of Titan Atlas. It is among the nearest star clusters to Earth and most obvious to the naked eye in the night sky.
